ABOUT THE AUTHOR

WRITER/BLOGGER
– PHOTOGRAPHER – ARTIST – LIFE ENTHUSIAST – MOM – CREATOR
I started this website and blog a few years back in hopes of becoming a writer. At some point on the journey, I remembered seventh grade and a notebook full of poetry. I remembered writing spells in a mini Lisa Frank keychain notebook at 8 years old, sure that my writing would change the future. I remembered diaries and penpals. At some point on the journey, I remembered that I didn’t need to become a writer when I’ve always been a writer. So now, this website and blog serves as a site where I can pour energy into things I love and release the things I no longer wish to carry. I hope you find something that speaks to you.

THE BASICS
I like to think that it’s easy to agree that life can be broken down into three basic parts – our past, our present and our future. What gets more complicated though, is getting everyone to agree what we should be doing with each of those parts. Personally, I find fulfillment in healing my past, being in my present, and creating my future. What does that mean though? How do we heal the past? How do we be in the present when everyone has a different opinion of how to practice mindfulness? And how the fuck do we create the future when we’re busy being present?
Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a cookie-cutter answer to those questions? Something concrete, black and white – but it’s never quite that simple. How we do it is unique to all of us but it starts with learning who you are. If you follow me, you’ll see that I write and cook my way through healing, travel and experience my way through being and paint, photograph, and play my way through creating. Throughout the pages of this site, you will find overlap – writing about travel, photographing experiences, playing my way through cooking. Let this be a reminder that things are always much more fluid than they seem. Growing and healing are about finding a balance in life that works for you. What is your perfect balance that will set your soul on fire?
If you don’t know where to start, I encourage you to start with my blog. That is where you will learn more about my page, my journey, and what’s going on. I hope you enjoy it and I thank you for joining me! I also humbly request patience as I work to get this all up and running – I like to bite off more than I can easily chew. The chaos keeps me motivated!
